Warm Greetings!
My family and I would like to take this opportunity to express our deepest appreciation for the kindness, love, and support you have shown to us. Your cards, notes, letters and gifts have been so kind and generous, yet let me assure you that it is your prayers that are most highly valued and needed. We also want to say thank you to the Appreciation Committee, you put in so much thought and effort into making the night so amazing!! The service was so encouraging hearing Jennifer's testimony and our son's kind words. And we loved the Children and Adult choir special. Overall it was such an encouraging time for us. Penny and I often express to each other our thanksgiving to the Lord. He has called us to be just a small part of what He is doing here at Center Point. It has been our great joy to serve here with you over the last 19 years. We are ever mindful of the honor of being called “Pastor”. We believe it is vitally important that we, as God's servants, are always mindful of WHO has called us into this ministry, as well as remembering the reason He has called us! Lives are being changed. Souls are being saved. The Kingdom of God is being advanced in this area. We are thrilled and excited that you’ve chosen to partner with us as we continue to grow and reach out into the harvest field which is ripe! You have made our ministry more effective because of your love and sacrifice. We look forward to even greater things in the future as God enables us to impact our community and world for the sake of the Gospel! Again, thank you! Blessings in Christ, The Moormans Even though you can't physically see any progress
toward the construction of our new sanctuary, I assure you that work is taking place behind the scenes. We are working with our contractor and architect to finalize floor plans, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical plans as well as metal building plans for fabrication. This consists of us making minor changes (tweaking) to what has been presented to us. The specifications for the steeple and baptistry have been submitted for incorporation into the plans. We are meeting with our contractor within the next few days for more discussion and work toward getting a final set of plans. Once we receive the final drawings they will be submitted to the City of Scottsboro for permitting and approval so that we may begin construction. Please continue to pray as we get closer to having our new sanctuary We are looking forward to the tremendous things God is going to do through the ministries of CPBC as we move into the fall season. Many ministries are gearing up to be stronger than ever as they seek to be a blessing to both our church and community.
Time is one of those things we all have on our hands. We might feel like we have a lot of time or only a little time, but the reality of it is that we ALL have the same amount of time to invest. It’s up to us to however, HOW we spend that time! If you had a bank that credited your account each morning with $86,400 but carried over no balance from day to day… Allowed you to keep no cash in your account, and every evening cancelled whatever part of the amount you failed to use during the day. What would you do? You would draw out every cent every day of course, and use it to your advantage! Well you have such a bank, and it’s name is TIME! Every morning it credits you with 86,400 seconds. It carries over no balances, it allows no overdrafts. If we fail to use this day, the loss is ours. There is no going back. There is no drawing against tomorrow. I encourage you to consider the ministries of the church as you “budget” your time. We tend to make time for the things we consider to be of the greatest importance, whether it be things that will benefit us in a financial way, or family relationships, or a myriad of other things that shout for our attention. Is there possibility a ministry in the church you can see yourself serving in? Are you doing your best to live a life of purpose for the Lord? While we have ALL failed in our lives, I’m so thankful we don’t have to continue to live that way! May we all walk with the Lord together and seek for ways to be a blessing to others. Blessing in Christ, Pastor |
