Dear Church Family,
It is truly amazing to think about God’s faithfulness to His church on Tupelo Pike over the past 175 years. You and I have the privilege of being linked to the saints of old and of being the bright future that God has granted us. As we come together to celebrate our rich heritage of faith, I pray that you will be blessed and encouraged as we remember the past and celebrate our future. Dan Garland will be preaching the message to help us celebrate our 175th anniversary on September 10th . I know you will be blessed for being a part of this important day. We also ask that you prayerfully consider your sacrificial gift toward the construction of our new sanctuary. By God’s grace, we believe each day brings us closer. As with any step of faith, we have experienced many obstacles, but we truly believe that God is already bringing the victory. These truly are exciting times in the life of our church and we praise God for His blessings past, current, and future. Please come and celebrate with us. LOVE BRO. DAVID Dear Church Family,
As we close out another summer together, I wanted to take a moment to let your know how much we have appreciated your presence here at CPBC in the middle of a busy season in life. I also want to encourage you to continue to be faithful during our Sunday School ministry each week. Most of us who have been brought up in church from an early age remember some of the great stories of the Bible. They were taught to us in such a way that have become etched upon our souls, as they declare the awesomeness of a miracle working God. The stories such as David and Goliath, Samson, Daniel in the lion's den, Moses and the children of Israel, Jesus healing the sick, and so on came alive as faithful teachers shared them from the Word of God. These stories are not only fascinating to hear, but the truths contained in them can truly build foundations that can last a lifetime. Around here, Sunday School is not just for the kids! We have some tremendous classes for young people as well as our adults. Classes that are taught by capable, mature Christians, who know how to make the Word of God relate to your life. The Bible says in Hosea 4:6 " My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge...." While we understand that verse is from the Old Testament and is clearly talking about the people of Israel, the principle is still the same.... without knowledge, especially of God's Word, we will never grow into all God wants us to be! I want to encourage each of you to consider joining us for Sunday School at 9:30 AM , and even invite a friend! LOVE BRO. DAVID |
